The Chris Cassidy Project Mission Statement
The Chris Cassidy Project awards financial grants to teachers of disadvantaged public school students who are committed to creating a classroom dedicated to growing readers with books that fit the abilities and interests of its current student population; that provides instruction, time to read; and that tracks the reading growth of their students.
The project is named after Chris Cassidy, an incredible leader, teacher, principal, mother, wife, and sister. Her passion for helping underserved students continues with this project.
